This is an adapted Grade 1 Ontario Social Studies unit- Strand B- The Local Community. Do you need content that is modified and differentiated for Special Education and ESL students with IEPs? This unit has minimal reading and heavy writing tasks and a lot of visuals and drawing tasks to support all your learners!
Look no further! I have created this resource to cover all the overall expectations of the Grade 1 Social Studies Community (The Local Community).
There are 5 main lessons that are designed to be done over a few days each. This should cover the entire term of Social Studies learning for your Grade 1 student.
At times, I will print a few copies for students to practice the skills more than once.
